Karen Batchelder
Director
Karen Batchelder is a Director at Context Capital Partners where she oversees fundraising and marketing. Context is an asset management firm with $300mm in AUM that seeds hedge and private equity funds.
Prior to joining Context, Karen was a Managing Director and head of the Private Finance Group at Stifel Nicolaus & Company, a middle market investment banking firm. She was responsible for new business origination and the execution of the private placement of senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity securities for both private and public (PIPE) transactions to institutional investors. She managed relationships with a broad group of investors, including private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, senior lenders, mezzanine lenders and various financial institutions.
Her prior experience includes serving as Vice President of the Global Syndicated Finance group at J.P. Morgan Securities, and Associate at The Transportation Group.
Ms. Batchelder received her MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and her BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.
