Jim Doughan

With a long and successful career and applied expertise in Fixed Income and Equity Derivative Trading models and techniques, Jim Doughan brings a unique perspective to his role with Context Capital Partners. In addition to his 18 years experience with SIG International, Jim has significant business development experience.
Jim graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business with a BS in Economics in 1987. From there he started with SIG as an index options trader on the Chicago Board Option Exchange.
After managing all of SIG's index option trading in Chicago, he moved to SIG's Philadelphia headquarters in 1992. There he started SIG's fixed income trading activity. After starting SIG's municipal bond trading business Jim returned to management of the firm's US index trading activity.
In 1996, Jim returned to full time management of SIG's Fixed Income businesses. For the next six years, he oversaw the addition of a Fixed Income Derivative Trading Operation with the Bank of New York, as well as the growth of the firm into Emerging Market Bonds and Mortgage Derivatives. During this time, he was also involved in significant business development, financial planning and project management work.
