Yaron Brook, Ph.D., is a Managing Director at Context BH Equity Fund, a private equity fund that invests in well-capitalized community banks operating in underserved markets with proven management teams, few problem loans, and high growth potential. With over a decade of experience investing in the community bank market, Yaron brings solid industry relationships, in-depth market insight and analysis to the Fund, as well as access to deals that are often not available to other investors.

Prior to launching the Context BH Equity Fund, Dr. Brook spent eight years helping develop and implement long term community bank-based investment strategies for a prominent hedge fund. These targeted market-neutral strategies evolved to include almost 100 bank stocks and positions in excess of $200 million.

Dr. Brook also served as an award winning finance professor at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. His academic work focused on financial institutions and market ethics. His research has been published and presented in journals and conferences around the world. In addition to lecturing at major corporations on the topics of finance, investments, and ethics, Dr. Brook has been a guest on numerous radio and TV shows, including Fox Business News, Fox News (Your World with Neil Cavuto, At Large with Geraldo Rivera), CNN (Talkback Live and the Glenn Beck Program), CNBC (Closing Bell and On the Money), and C-SPAN.

Dr. Brook earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), and his MBA and Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas, Austin in 1988 and 1992, respectively.
